I started looking for an internship really early, to be correct in May of 2019. I was really scared I wouldn't find something fitting. I was looking for really specific things as well. I wanted to work at an internship place where they worked on projects connected to my interests: language, socio-political topics and public interaction. It was also very important to me to not just sit at a desk designing some posters and seeing just a small piece of the whole production. I wanted to be a flexible intern, jumping from place to place. Doing mainly the creative jobs, but also being able to view what I work on get to the public.

I have found a very exciting internship, at Amerpodia. A collective of 4 culture houses spread through the centre of Amsterdam. They host different socio-political programs from gender awareness to the political debate's on tv. The programs they host really fit into many of my interest and into what I have been studying at both University as in social practice. It is a quite large office with one graphic designer as my direct mentor.

I think this internship will really push me further in the direction I am willing to go. The things that I'll be working on both ask for my graphic desihn skills as for my knowledge and interest in sociatal topics. It will definitly be very interesting to see how I will find my place in their team, but also how I will be able to make the internship my own. They also ask for me to think of own ideas and projects that I can incorporate in the work I do there. It will give me enough time and space to further develop my artistic vision.
